Need something extra special custom printed? Having it letterpress printed gives it a unique, handmade touch. I set every letter in type by hand, chosen from our extensive type library at Pickwick Independent Press. This slow, thoughtful design process allows me to sit with a piece of text for the time it deserves to make sure it is formatted just right, with the fonts, images, and embellishments that serve the overall message. Tell me about your vision for your wedding invites, holiday cards, thank yous, or business cards, and I can help make it a reality with my own creative touch. I would also love to work with writers looking to print small editions of their work as zines or chapbooks.
Letterpress commissions start at $250 and cover material costs, labor, and creative design. Turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. Factors that go into the price of each project include the amount of text, the number of colors or layers of ink, size and quality of paper, complexity of the design, and the number of prints you would like. Custom carved linocut imagery can sometimes be added depending on the project. Otherwise, the available fonts and images are limited by what we have at Pickwick (which is a lot!).
